Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This has got to be the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever had in Chicago, it's an embarrassment. I lived in China for several years and this is such a rip-off it's unreal. We paid $20 for a pile of noodles, which admittedly had a tasty sauce, but she added $2 worth of beef and there were just barely any tiny shreds of beef in there. Not sure where all these 5 star reviews are coming from

This place offer delicious, unique and, much desired lou si fen (snail rice noodle). Itโs flavorful with various toppings options (which can add up) but portion is large enough for 2+ meals or shared among friends. I got the soup version with pork hocks, chicken feet, and lava tofu. The broth is delicious, spicy, strong bamboo flavor which gave this dish the smell its known for.

Stopped by Liuzhou Spicy Rice Noodle and had a great experience. The service was warm and welcomingโthe lady at the counter greeted me with a big smile. Tons of tempting options on the menu. I went with the crab soup dumplings (xiao long bao), and they were delicious!
